Ukhta State Technical University (USTU) is a higher educational institution located in Ukhta. It is a basic university for training engineers for oil and gas companies, full name - Federal State Budgetary educational institution higher vocational education “Ukhta State Technical University”.
Includes 6 institutes and more than thirty departments, a technological college, primary school and two branches: in Vorkuta and Usinsk. More than 10 thousand students study at the university. There are 50 professors, teachers and research workers at the institutes and various departments, including 53 doctors of sciences, 213 candidates of sciences and associate professors. The support and maintenance staff numbers approximately 1,500 people.
USTU is an educational institution of federal subordination.
Received university status in 1999. Before that it was called industrial institute .
Since 1997, the rector of USTU is Doctor of Technical Sciences, Academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, Professor ND Tskhadaya.

Description of educational institution Ukhta State Technical University
The Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education "Ukhta State Technical University" begins its history from the opening in Ukhta in 1958 of a training and consulting center (UCP) of the Moscow Institute of Petrochemical and gas industry them. I. M. Gubkin.Subsequently, the UKP was transformed into the evening and correspondence faculty of the Ministry of Petroleum Engineering and the State Enterprise. On March 22, 1967, the Ukhta Industrial Institute was formed on the basis of the faculty.
University status was awarded on April 14, 1999. The rector of the university is Nikolai Denisovich Tskhadaya, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, Chairman of the Council of Rectors of Universities of the Komi Republic, Deputy Chairman of the Expert Council of the Higher Attestation Commission.
In 2008, the university successfully passed a comprehensive audit of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, certification, accreditation, licensing educational programs and received a state license to conduct educational activities for another five-year term.
The university is part of the community of oil and gas universities in Russia and is one of the largest multidisciplinary technical universities in the European North of the country.
Throughout its history, the university has trained more than 26 thousand specialists for the oil and gas, geological, construction, forestry industries. Among the graduates of the university there are people whose names are the glory of the Fatherland. The title of Hero of Russia (the first in the republic since the Great Patriotic War) for the courage and heroism shown during the performance of a special assignment in the Chechen Republic, awarded to Alexander Alekseev (posthumously).
Today more than eight thousand students study at USTU. The educational process is carried out by 405 teachers, including 55 professors, doctors of sciences, 200 associate professors, candidates of sciences, 5 academicians and 2 corresponding members Russian academy Natural Sciences, 1 Academician and 1 Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, 4 Honored Workers of Higher Education of the Russian Federation, 1 Honored Worker of Sciences of the Russian Federation, 5 Honored Workers of the Komi Republic.
Seven full-time faculties, continuous learning faculty and faculty pre-university training train certified bachelors and masters in 30 specialties and areas.
Postgraduate students are trained in 18 specialties.
The university includes the faculty of pre-university training, the institute for advanced training - an independent certification and methodological center, technical college, an elementary comprehensive school "Rostok-USTU", there are two dissertation councils in 5 specialties. Branches of USTU operate in the cities of Vorkuta, Syktyvkar, Usinsk. In accordance with the cooperation agreement with the university, the city Center for the Development of Creativity of Children and Youth closely interacts. By now, a structural and functional prototype of the university complex has been formed on the basis of the university. Twelve scientific and pedagogical schools conduct research at the university:

"Regional Minerageny and Geochemistry" (Professor, Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences O.S. Kochetkov);
"Radiometric and electromagnetic methods of inspection of objects of oil and gas production and transportation" (Professor, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences V. O. Nekuchaev and Professor, Doctor of Geological and Mineralogical Sciences EI Krapivsky).
More than ten scientific conferences and seminars are held annually at the university, including all-Russian and international levels. USTU cooperates with all enterprises of the oil and gas industry of the Komi Republic, as well as with various enterprises of the mining, forestry, and construction industries. International activities are carried out in two main areas: the implementation of educational programs with in-depth study of a foreign language and cooperation with foreign universities... The University maintains partnerships with educational institutions in Germany (University of Regensburg), Czech Republic ( graduate School business, Ostrava), Norway (University of Bude), Finland (University of the Arctic, Rovaniemi; University of Oulu), Malta (School of English language), USA, Canada, Great Britain, Ireland, Hungary, China, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan.
The university has ten educational and laboratory buildings, five dormitories, a large scientific and technical library, an advanced publishing and printing base, a powerful sports complex, an excellent sanatorium-preventorium, a recreation center, an educational geodetic base, an educational and experimental oil field, an educational and experimental forestry enterprise ...
The university is famous for its sports traditions. During the work of the university, more than eighty masters of sports have been trained here, including international masters of sports:
swimmer Alexander Sukhorukov - silver medalist at the 2008 Beijing Olympics, champion of Russia, Europe, and the world;
skier Ivan Pronin - participant of the Olympic Games, champion of the USSR, Europe, the world;
boxer Eduard Zakharov - participant of the Olympic Games, European champion.
World champion Yulia Potemkina, participants of the world championships Stanislav Volzhentsov, Andrey Parfenov are studying at the university today. The basketball team "Planet University" is playing in the top league of the Russian championship.
There are 7 intellectual clubs in USTU: a philosophical club, fans of the history of the Fatherland, a chess club, a cinema club, a press club, a poetry club, an amateur club foreign languages, united in the project "Constellation of smart clubs";
numerous creative groups, in which more than three hundred people are engaged: student theater-studio "Freski", vocal and choral studio, youth pop dance group "United Bit", ballroom dance ensemble "Tenderness", ballroom dance ensemble "Joy", ensemble oriental dance "Nargiz", student creative workshop. Creative teams represent the university with dignity at competitions and festivals of all levels: city, republican, all-Russian and international. Dancing and sports club "Duet" is the champion of the Komi Republic and the North-West of Russia, prize-winner of Russian competitions. The United Beat dance group is the finalist of the World Championship, the champion of Russia, the winner of the Street Show World Cup, the collective is a member of the Russian national hip-hop team. Theater-studio "Freski" is a laureate of all-Russian competitions of theatrical art. The traditional university festival of art songs has acquired the status of a republican one.

- Surely! This is the simplest thing you can do. You just don't believe in yourself, that's why you don't try ...
- I'm not trying this ?! .. - I gasped from such a terrible injustice ... - All I do is try! Only maybe not that ...
Suddenly I remembered how Stella repeated many, many times that I can do much more ... But I can - what?! .. I had no idea what they were all talking about, but now I already felt that I was starting to calm down a little and think that in any difficult circumstances always helped me. Life suddenly seemed not so unfair at all, and I gradually began to come to life ...
Inspired by the positive news, all the following days I, of course, “tried” ... Absolutely not feeling sorry for myself, and torturing my already exhausted physical body to smithereens, I went to the “floors” dozens of times without showing myself to Stella , as she wanted to make her a pleasant surprise, but at the same time not to hit her face in the mud, making some stupid mistake.
But then, finally, I decided - stop hiding and decided to visit my little girlfriend.
- Oh, is that you ?! .. - A familiar voice immediately sounded with happy bells. - Is it really you ?! But how did you come here? .. Did you come yourself?
Questions, as always, rained down from her, her cheerful face shone, and it was a sincere pleasure for me to see this bright, fountain-like joy of her.
- Well, let's go for a walk? I asked, smiling.
And Stella still could not calm down from happiness that I was able to come myself, and that now we can already meet whenever we want and even without outside help!
- You see, I told you that you can do more! .. - the baby chirped happily. - Well, now everything is fine, now we don't need anyone! Oh, and it’s just something very good that you came, I wanted to show you something and was waiting for you very much. But for this we have to take a walk where it is not very pleasant ...

1.1. The procedure for performing control works
The test should be performed only after studying the appropriate theoretical material from the textbook and considering examples of problem solving.
Every work should be done in a separate student notebook, on the cover of which the name of the discipline, the number of the test work, full name should be indicated. student who completed the work, code (according to the record book).
When making decisions, it is necessary to indicate the task number and the task number. The condition of the problem should be written off completely... Problem solutions should be accompanied by the necessary comments. On each page, it is necessary to leave margins at least 3 cm wide to evaluate the solution of problems and the comments of the reviewer. Tasks should be performed in ascending order of numbers.
If the test paper after the check has a mark "for revision", then the student should at the end of the same notebook make a subtitle "Work on mistakes", correct the solution of incorrect problem solutions. The work is provided for re-review. If in the process of performing the test the student has difficulties, then for consultation you can contact the Department of Higher Mathematics.
