With a little pressure, a wide metal plate about three inches long and almost as long as a whole tablet can be rotated and pulled out of its body. This rack, which closes beautifully with the back of the device without minimizing soft lines, proved to be a key user element within hours of use.

This is because the immutable pedestal is designed to allow the device to accept four different configurations: Wait, Hold, Tilt, and Block. The first is nothing more than closing the support when you have to hold the device in your hand. The maneuverability in this mode is much better than you might expect. On paper, in fact, the device is not particularly light, we are talking about 600 grams, which usually leads to inexperience in use. In two-handed use, by holding the device with the cylindrical side up, you can take advantage of the curvature that is created between the pedestal area and the rest of the tablet as a standing point, allowing the terminal to be balanced in a very natural and comfortable place.

Even while pointing at the vertical device and using it from one side, the cylindrical end is very useful as it increases ergonomics and provides a firm and comfortable fit. The support configuration is to open the pedestal to about ninety degrees and use it to support the tablet screen almost parallel to the surface. This is a position designed primarily for the use of multimedia content. Always with the stand open at this angle, you can rotate the device upside down and place it on the table in tilt mode, without doubt the most convenient way to write with the virtual keyboard.

Finally, the last configuration is to rotate the support about one hundred and forty degrees so that it is parallel to the tablet surface. Thus, you can use the hole in the metal plate to hang the device. Other main elements are placed in the cylindrical part, with the exception of the volume and the entrance panel, which are on one of the short sides.

The metal plate has excellent resistance to resistance, and the polycarbonate coating has a very aesthetic rough construction and greatly increases grip. The viewing angles are more than enough to use a variety of content even if the device is tilted, and the brightness is pretty good. By setting the maximum level, you can use the tablet without major problems even in direct sunlight, but there is a somewhat annoying, but not particularly abnormal, loss of contrast in a device in this price range.

Color reproduction is discrete: the panel returns colors that are not particularly bright and glowing. It's not an obvious defect, but it's hard to spot, but it's still a small neo in the multimedia segment. I loved the comic reading experience, mainly due to the wide diagonal and excellent ergonomics already mentioned. Only small scratches on the glass plate that protect anything that tends to hold onto prints too easily.

The biggest novelties can be found in yoga tablet hardware. This provides a good user experience even when using complex and heavy applications. In an effort to emphasize that a precessor using multitasking for different resource-consuming applications is evidence of a little lag or slowdown, especially when navigating between menus, but overall the fluidity is very good and no big problems are seen under normal use.

The aesthetic search is also noted in other details, such as the widget management system, which automatically adapts the shape and position of elements in both landscape and portrait orientations, or the screening screen, which has little transparency and allows you to just peek at the main images, creating a very attractive Effect. It will look a little, but swiping from below in a 10-inch terminal is almost always much more practical than above, especially if you use the device with one hand in vertical mode.

This is a selector that, when set to Manual, allows us to quickly adjust display output, sound mode, and brightness. Instead, instead, the software understands itself which mode we are in and only adjusts one parameters. Note that in standby mode, one with a closed pedestal is used, a light matte filter is applied that shines on the screen in warmer shades, creating a very pleasant effect, especially during reading. Those who opt for a 10-inch screen probably do so too, so they can take advantage of it while opening multiple windows at the same time.

On the tablet's multi-line screen, which can be activated from the Quick Access Toolbar, you can access it using a small button located in the lower left corner of the screen. These are the only six we can use by dividing the screen into a maximum of four, which is a shame as the controls are good and the multi-window experience is nice, but too limited by the limited number of apps present on the list. The tablet can also go up to 18 hours of use on a single charge, according to the company, which pays close attention to consumption.

However, it should be said that a large battery naturally also requires a fairly long charging time. The camera consists of two sensors: a 1.6-megapixel front and an 8-megapixel rear. However, the position of the lens in the cylindrical area at one end is very good, which by holding the terminal with either one hand or two is almost impossible to cover by mistake. The position of the second camera, the front one, which is located along one of the short sides of the device, is not good, in my opinion. This configuration is ideal for using the tablet in support mode to make video calls.

Of course it's not a fault that undermines the user experience, it's more like a bit of neo, which is a little annoying when you realize that videoconferencing with someone else's own image has side perspective, weird. The loudspeakers are of good quality and reach very high volumes, although of course the clarity loses a little and you might feel a little shaky.

Among preinstalled apps in the system we also find one that allows you to control the audio. This allows you to choose the equalization you prefer from a set of default options, set the equalizer to full manual mode, or use automatic mode, which itself sets the parameters in the most suitable way for playback. I've also been able to reproduce complex graphic titles with a good level of detail and without the notification of specific microlags or improvisations.

Loading times are also good. The only new feature of the whole compartment is the screen, which, as mentioned earlier, has excellent rendering in terms of definition and brightness, but it returns images with lighter colors and not too bright. The latter is one of the main advantages of the device, thanks to the metal plate, various functional configurations can be used, which are very useful during the day. This tablet is part of a multitude of products that stand out from the competition for design and features designed to meet the exact needs of the user.

Productivity and multimedia, a true champion of versatility

The price list is 499 euros at the time we write, but you can already find it on the Internet for about 450 euros, the price of which should be within a few months as a middle band product. Even before turning on the tablet, the special asymmetrical design familiar to the owners of the previous models of the yoga range strikes, and all to find out its practicality. Despite its not very thin shape, its cylinder is longitudinally located on the left flank, which at first disorients the user not only visually.

However, it takes only a few hours to balance and evaluate the device's extreme versatility.


Then the side cylinder, in addition to the battery housing, the mesh with the 4 speakers below and the adjustable projector optics is the grip point for holding the tablet with one hand.

For the other three modes, an integrated and flip-out bracket comes into play, which, combined with the weight of the battery, allows you to place your tablet in standby mode, such as a traditional desktop stand. The fourth tilt mode is by far the most interesting as it allows you to use the built-in wall projector. Once the tablet has been positioned at the correct distance from the wall and adjusted the tilt using the rotating hinge, you can continue pulling with the physical button of the projector lamp, and then adjust the focus using the graphic wheel that appears on the screen then can be hidden and brought to the front plan at any time along with other projector menu options.

Adjusts the display of content with focus on the built-in projector. While not the only one, the presence of a projector is most characteristic of the intended use of this device, especially for sharing work presentations while meeting with colleagues, co-workers or clients around a table. Of course, the environment should not be too bright, but this is generally true for wall projections. The advertised 50 lumens brightness enables images to be projected clearly up to 70 inches with 480 pixels.
