From alicante airport to city center. Alicante how to get there. Alicante airport - Alicante city

There is an ancient town in Spain that is popular with tourists. This is Alicante and there is an airport of the same name on its territory. The airport is located at a distance of 10 km from the city center. Alicante airport is considered one of the largest among other Spanish air complexes. It occupies an honorable third place in terms of area, and in terms of the number of clients it is in sixth place. Alicante serves a large number of people every day, both in winter and in summer.

Airliners take off and land at the airport every 5 minutes. Those arriving in Alicante are interested in the road to the city center and its surroundings. There are several ways to complete the required route.

The airport building consists of 3 floors. But you can leave the terminal from any floor, not just the first. If you want to get to the bus stop located near the airport, you should get off on the third floor.

Using the number 6 bus you can reach the center of Alicante. The bus runs on this route every day at intervals of 25-30 minutes. The bus starts at 6.40 am and ends at 11 am. Plaza puerta del mar is the terminus of bus number 6, and you can also take it to the city beach and the seaport. From the central part of the city of Alicante on the last bus you can leave at 22.20, and this information should be known to tourists who want to walk around the city at night.

Morning runs of bus # 6 start at 6 am. To get to your destination, you do not need to purchase travel documents in advance, as you can buy them from the driver. You need to pay about 4 euros for the trip. After spending half an hour, you will reach the city center of Alicante from the airport of the same name.

Those wishing to travel from the airport to another city must choose the appropriate route. Buses to Murcia operate daily from 9 am to 10 pm. And you can get to Elche by bus, which starts at 7 am and ends at 10 pm. The bus to Elche leaves every hour, and you can catch a return bus every 2 hours. From Alicante Airport you can take a bus to Arenales and Torrevieja.

If you have landed at Alicante airport at night, then you will not be able to get to your destination by bus. In this case, you can call a taxi, and then the trip will be not only fast, but also comfortable. If you order a car by phone in advance, then you will not be waiting for a taxi, and also save money. When ordering a car from a taxi service by phone or via the Internet, the driver will meet you at the airport. He will hold a sign with your first and last name written on it.

If you did not manage to order a car in advance, then you can contact a free taxi driver on the territory of Alicante airport at any time of the day or night. A taxi ride is not only a way to get to your desired destination, but also an opportunity to get to know the famous and special places of the city.

You can ask the driver to drive through the most popular tourist spots, as well as hear new interesting information about them. Taxi drivers usually know their city very well, so they will share reliable and up-to-date information with you. This is convenient for guests of Spain who have a small amount of time for excursions and walks around the city.

A taxi ride in Alicante costs around € 30, but the final price will depend on the final destination.

Walking

Arriving in Alicante, it is not necessary to look for transport. You can get to the city center on foot. It is especially convenient for those who arrived in Spain with minimal luggage. Walking tours are suitable for people arriving in Alicante in the early morning, before public transport has started moving.

You can walk to the city center in 2 hours and save € 30 on a taxi. Traveling from the airport to the central part of the city in the evening or at night is not recommended. Some sections of the road are not equipped with lighting, so there is a possibility that you may get lost.

Officially, the air complex is called El Altet. The date of construction and opening of the airport is 1967. The Alicante air terminal was intended to stop using the old air gates. The airport got its name in honor of the city of the same name.

Since the 70s of the last century, the Alicante aerial complex has become very popular. Due to the sudden increase in the load on the air terminal, it became necessary to build another terminal and increase the territory. In the process of reconstruction, the runway was enlarged, which has become more by 3 kilometers.

After 20 years, Alicante airport was again subjected to changes, during which a new building was erected. It was intended for airline offices. Also, control over the flight control is carried out here, and a little later premises for organizations serving the air complex appeared in the building. In 2010, another terminal was opened at the Alicante airport. Thanks to its large dimensions and excellent infrastructure, the new terminal allows meeting and escorting over 20 million customers every year.

Iberia has long been the main carrier at Alicante Airport. Ryanair is currently considered the main airline.

Alicante is an opportunity to relax not only on the beach near the hotel. The city is famous for the presence of beautiful and ancient places, some of which appeared several centuries ago. Not surprisingly, tourists rush to stroll around Alicante.

For example, Boulevard Esplanade. The place is one of the most famous tourist destinations, where many guests of Spain are in a hurry to come for a walk. The area seems to be unique, thanks to the special flooring, the presence of palm trees and street musicians. Esplanade Boulevard offers a variety of restaurants and cafes for those looking for a bite to eat and unwind in a tranquil environment.

Take the time and set aside one evening for a walk along the waterfront. By the way, its name is the same as the name of the city. There is a 3-D floor covering on the embankment, thanks to which visitors of this place can observe beautiful volumetric patterns of cubes and pyramids. For pier lovers, there is the possibility of walking along it. A visit to the embankment is an opportunity to recharge with positive emotions and relax mentally.

For those wishing to have a bite to eat during the walk, there are cafes and restaurants, and there are even spa salons. In the restaurants located on the Alicante seafront, you can taste delicious food. These include seafood delicacies.

One of the important symbols of Alicante is the seaport. Its size is quite large, and its beauty amazes the tourists arriving. The port houses yachts, boats and small vessels. Bright sky and sea water the duo form a stunning view for the seaport.

The Church of St. Mary is an architectural monument that must be visited by believers. The basilica was built many hundreds of years ago, and it is not for nothing that it is considered the oldest in the city. The Church of St. Mary has always been popular with travelers, even those who are not deeply religious. You can easily find the basilica: it is located near the Esplanade boulevard.

One of the oldest places in the Spanish city is the Santa Cruz area. Once here, every tourist will understand what Spain looked like several centuries ago. Narrow streets, small houses with low ceilings, ancient staircases - all the signs of antiquity have survived to our time. The streets of the Santa Cruz area are never crowded with people. Therefore, if you want to get to a quiet and peaceful place, then visit the old area.

If you are flying to Alicante, do not forget to visit the Castle of Santa Barbara. The ancient fortress is located high in the mountains, but any tourist can climb there on foot. If walking to the top of the mountain is not inspiring, take advantage of the paid elevator, which will take you there in a matter of minutes. By visiting the Castle of Santa Barbara, you can visit the historical site, as well as get to know historical facts and you will be able to enjoy the bright performance of the artists. Beautiful costumes, an interesting and informative show, an ancient castle - all this will make a unique impression on any tourist.

Alicante city

Recently, a friend of mine asked me how to get to Alicante, Spain (they are going in February). At the same time, he was interested in budget options, possibly with low-cost (). I figured why not figure out the options and write about it.

This direction may be of interest to many. I have a bad idea of what is interesting in Alicante, but I heard that it is good there 🙂 At least, there is definitely a sea there. As far as I know, the direction is already very popular among Russians. Including because of low prices for housing. For example, other friends of mine rent out an apartment with three bedrooms (!!!) for some ridiculous 2,500 rubles per day (this is in December 2016). If anyone is interested, the link is here. Of course, prices may rise, but this price is not high even for a couple, and if a company of, say, 6 people is traveling, then the cost per person will be lower than anything, namely, some 400-500 rubles per day. And this is not the only cheap option, I have seen other similar apartments in Alicante on airbnb. The prices are really low there. So, maybe someone will be fired up with an idea and go there to rest or spend the winter.

If we talk about road planning, then for the Russians I see two main options: from Moscow and from St. Petersburg.

It is worth mentioning that I estimate the prices for the route in two or three months, in January-February. I believe that this is the optimal time for early planning - the prices are still low, and there is not much time before the trip. Of course, low-cost airlines will be much cheaper in winter than in summer. On the other hand, conventional airlines also cut prices in winter. So I think the price ratios will remain roughly the same. I will estimate a few basic options and choose my own, but before each booking it is better to go over all the possibilities to determine the optimal one. After all, prices are constantly changing.

Planning is carried out on the assumption that there is no rigid binding to dates. Around February, a trip of a week or two. Price per adult.

From Moscow to Alicante

From Moscow airports to Alicante

Prices for January and February on the kayak.ru aggregator look something like this:

In December (in a month) it is already more expensive. There are different transfers, I have seen options with a flight duration of 8-10 hours and about 20 hours. The price, as we can see, is approximately 13-14 thousand rubles... If you have a lot of luggage, then this seems to me the best option from Moscow.

Again, airlines often have promotions in this direction. It is best to search for them in a subscription to specialized groups in contact.

Via Vilnius

This and other options with low-cost airlines are suitable for those who have little luggage and are compact. At the same time, as practice shows, you can take a small suitcase.

I do not really like this option, but it is the only acceptable one across the Baltic states. It uses the so-called. "Nesterovsky train". There is nothing very good in it, but fish for fishlessness and cancer. Ride it at night, 14 hours, and it costs 2,000 rubles one way. Buy tickets only at the box office in Moscow.

Thus, now this path will cost about 10 thousand rubles(euro 70 each).

Here and afterwards, it is relevant to clarify that the next sale is now. But even without it, the prices, I think, would have been around 30 euros per ticket.

Through Petersburg

The option through St. Petersburg, of course, is confusing, because first you need to get to St. Petersburg (hello !!), then to Tallinn or Riga. I think it is acceptable only for people who at the same time want to visit St. Petersburg and then leave for Europe.

Read more about options from St. Petersburg below. With St. Petersburg, everything is somewhat more complicated than with Moscow, but, perhaps, more interesting.

Best option from Moscow to Alicante

On average, it will be more convenient for Muscovites to buy tickets for Moscow - Alicante, for example, now they cost 13-14 thousand for February. For this, a large baggage is also included.

For those who are skilled in traveling light, there is an option with a “Nesterov train” through Vilnius and Ryanair planes. It is unlikely that it will be possible to collect something cheaper than 11 thousand rubles in total. Although if there are adequate transplants, then why not.

I also like the route on Pobeda through Memmingen. Now it will cost 10 thousand rubles, and if you get into the Victory rally, it will be cheaper. It does mean cheap Ryanair tickets though. It is not always possible to find them either. But in this option, very simple planning, transplants are quickly selected. But another night at the airport! We still need to check if it is possible to spend the night there.

From Petersburg to Alicante

From Pulkovo to Alicante

The easiest option, of course, is by plane from Pulkovo. I went to the kayak.ru aggregator, there is something like this:

Realistically select options for 16250 rubles roundtrip. All of them with one transfer in both directions, while I came across cheap ones with a total flight duration of 20 hours. Not the best option, frankly.

Through Helsinki

Not a low-cost, but it will be cheaper than the option from Pulkovo. Moreover, it is not a fact that it is longer in time.

Thus, the average price through Moscow, without special shares, I see in about 15-16 thousand rubles... Again, this option can be no longer than from Pulkovo in the case of more convenient transfers.

A trip through Moscow can be profitable if you manage to snatch some super-cheap tickets.

Through Tallinn

So, Ryanair flies from Tallinn, I propose not to fool yourself not to complicate the task and limit yourself only to this low-cost airline (especially since I checked, it comes out a little expensive through Milan Malpensa, and not everything fits together).

We get to Tallinn by Lux Express for 690 rubles or, if we are very lucky, which is unlikely.

From Tallinn, there are options via cities Milan Bergamo, Bremen and Dusseldorf Weeze(carefully, this is not Dusseldorf, this is Weeze !!! To Dusseldorf the bus costs 30 euros from there).

I didn't like the first two cities, because the tickets are expensive (although in the future it may be cheap there). If we talk about Weeze, then I only connected the way back from Alicante - Weeze - Tallinn, with a good transfer at 4.5 hours. Tickets are now about 22-26 euros, that is, about 50 euros for the way back.

Through Riga

We get to Riga by the same Lux Express, but from 1300 rubles. And the ride is longer than to Tallinn - 12 hours. You can go with a stop and walk in Tallinn.

Ryanair flies from Riga to the airports of interest to us:

  • Berlin (SXF)
  • Cologne
  • Bremen
  • Frankfurt (HHN)

Each of them can now be reached for 20-30 euros. And of all of them, you can fly to Alicante for the same 20-30 euros.

For example, I got the option Riga - Cologne (Cologne) - Alicante with a night transfer lasting 9 hours. But only 15 + 22 = 37 euros for the trip.

Does not fit back.

I like the option via Berlin Schoenefeld more. From Berlin to Alicante is more expensive, in the region of 30-35 euros. On the other hand, you can skip dates and spend the night on the way in Berlin.

The best option from Petersburg to Alicante

So, if you are traveling with luggage, then the best option I see is the way through Helsinki, which will cost about 12.5 thousand rubles per person. The road will take about 20 hours at one end. You can think of some kind of pastime in the capital of Finland.

The cheapest option I found outright is this:

  • night bus Lux Express Petersburg - Riga 1370 rubles
  • day in Riga
  • Ryanair Riga - Cologne on February 4 for 15 euros
  • night at the airport
  • Ryanair Cologne - Alicante on the morning of February 5 for 22 euros
  • rest 12 days
  • Ryanair plane Alicante - Weeze on 17 February for 22 euros
  • transfer 4.5 hours, Ryanair Weeze - Tallinn on 17 February for 31 euros
  • night bus Lux Express Tallinn - Petersburg for 975 rubles

The total is 8650 rubles (at a euro rate of 70). Very decent. The road back takes only 12 hours with a night bus transfer. It takes 36 hours to get there, but you can spend the whole day in Riga.

Once again I draw your attention to the fact that these prices are not constant, for each vacation you need to plan your own best route, depending on the season, availability of promotions, etc. But I think that now I have managed to describe a more or less average situation and price ratios for different options.

Is a small provincial Spanish town located on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. I rested in Spain for two weeks, and since I don't like just lying on the beach, I decided to go to this city and get acquainted with its sights. The city is only 90 km from Alicante, so it is quite possible to go there and back in one day.

By car

Renting a car in Spain is not a problem. To do this, you need to have a passport and an international driver's license. A prerequisite for receiving the car is the availability credit card supporting international payment systems, registered in the name of the driver. The map will be frozen for the duration of the lease a certain amount, the amount of which depends on the lease term. If you come to Spain for a long time, then take care of this in advance, because if you want to rent a car for 2-3 weeks, the amount can reach 1000-1500 euros.

In order to rent a car, you need to have a driving experience of at least one year. If a child is going to ride in the car, be sure to bring a child seat. My friends drove without such a chair, as a result they received a 400 euro fine and a car in the parking lot. By the way, everyone is obliged to buckle up, not just the driver and passenger in the front seat. Most gas stations are open until 22.00-23.00, and this must be taken into account.

You need to go from Alicante to Denia along the AR-7 toll road, the journey will take about an hour. You can go along the free highway A-7, but then the path will take more than 170 km along the mountain serpentine.

How much is?

It is quite possible to rent a budget car for 25-30 euros per day. If you come on vacation in winter, when there are practically no tourists, the price can drop to 10-15 euros. Remember that if you return the car even one hour late, you will have to pay for the whole day, so calculate the time in advance.

Another item of consumption will be gasoline. To get to Denia, you will spend about 15 euros of gasoline.

Please note that the AR-7 highway is toll, you will have to pay about 5 euros to travel on this section. Payment is made in special terminals near the beginning of the paid zone.

By train

It is impossible to get to Denia by train.

By plane

It is not possible to travel from Denia to Denia by plane.

By bus

If you are driving directly from the airport, you can take an intercity bus. On the way, you will spend about 3 hours if you take a regular bus, and an hour and a half if you take the express train, which stops only in Benidorm.

Departure from Alicante (airport) is carried out at 07.00, 08.50, 09.00, 11.00, 13.00, 13.45 (express), 16.30 (express), 19.00, 20.00 (express), 20.30 (express). In addition, buses to Valencia stop in Denia.

How much is?

The ticket price in all cases is the same and is equal to 11.25 euros per person.

Where can I buy?

You can pay for the fare directly from the driver. The only thing is, try to prepare money in advance without change.

By suburban tram

Valencia's seaside towns are connected by a network of commuter trams. This is something between the metro and the electric train, which for some reason is called a tram here. Please note that this is not a train and does not depart from the train station. The stops within the city are located underground, just like our metro stations.

The final station of the tram is the Plaza de los Luceros stop, you can also get off at the Alfonso X El Sabio station. You need to wait for the tram line L3 to Benidorm. It departs from the terminal station twice an hour, at 11 and 41 minutes of every hour. When you reach Benidorm (the journey will take a little over an hour, you should change to the L9 line. It takes another 1 hour and 45 minutes to get to Denia, so the whole journey will take about 3 hours.

The road is very picturesque, so time flies by. To enjoy the scenery, it is best to sit on the right side of the carriage.

How much is?

The total cost of the journey will cost € 9.7, which is almost € 2 cheaper than the bus fare.

Where can I buy?

You can buy a ticket at the terminal at the tram station.

Outcomes

The most cost-effective way is the suburban tram. But if you need to get to Denia quickly, the express bus is better.

> From Alicante airport to Denia

Alicante airport

it is through it that most tourists arrive in Denia. You can get there by direct bus (it is rare) or through Alicante (by tram-train with a change in Benidorm or by a direct bus Alicante - Denia with arrivals to other cities along the way).

The choice is primarily determined by the time when you arrive at the airport. If the flight is in the morning, then there is no point in waiting for a direct bus to Denia. The easiest way to get there is via Alicante. There, too, you can get on the "window" between the buses, then the Alicante Tram is the best option. Although in other cases (but not always!) The bus is faster.

Stop of regular buses Upstairslevel 2", Not" level -2 ", tourist buses stop below). They are distributed along the front of the airport. Buses to the cities of Alicante and Denia / Benidorm stop on the right (if the front is behind).

Taxi from Alicante airport to Denia will cost about 90 euros.

Direct bus from the airport to Denia

You can buy a bus ticket from the driver. During the movement, stops are announced and written on an electronic board. The road to the city will take about 20-30 minutes. First there will be a stop with a bus station, and closer to the end - next to a tram-train.

These are completely different things and are in different places... If not clear, ask about the Alicante tram (its stations in the city are underground, like the metro).

The bus from the airport stops first at the MARO-CASTILLO tram station (Alfonso X El Sabio bus stop), then at LUCEROS station (Alicante Tram terminus, Plaza de los Luceros bus stop).

The total is about 3 hours from Alicante to Denia (or about 3.5 hours from Alicante airport). The bonus will be very beautiful views from the windows, especially in the Altea region, where the train will pass below, overlooking the snow-white houses, and then above the highway, overlooking the entire coast and the Russian church. It is better to sit on the right side in the direction of the train.

The tram ride is a little cheaper than taking the bus: € 9.7 versus € 11.25 by bus.
