With the characteristics of accuracy, everything is average: the spread, which is usual for most tanks of classmates, the well-known aiming time and not the best stabilization. But on the other hand, the STA-1 WoT cannon has stunning vertical aiming angles - 10 degrees downward when set to the target in front or on the side. But here again it is worth making a reservation, if you look back, the cannon will go down only two degrees, because the superstructure of the engine compartment will interfere with it.

Advantages and disadvantages

In order to gain access to STA-1, you will have to sweat a little while eating a cactus and earn 111,000 experience on the previous tank. This unit is worth quite a standard and adequate amount - 2.550.000 silver. The completeness of the crew is four tankers. I am very pleased with the fact that these tankers will not change until the tenth level - that would always be the case. Let's take a look at the methods of crew transfer to STA-1:

  • Crew retraining / training for gold. At the eighth level, when the crew is quite well pumped, sacrificing experience during the transfer is a bad thing. Don't be lazy and search for these hundreds of gold. The cost of such a transplant will be 4 * 200 = 800 gold.
  • Crew retraining / training for silver. When there is no way to spend gold, then use this method. It is certainly not the most profitable in terms of loss of experience, but it will not work to kill two birds with one stone. The cost of such retraining will be 4 * 20,000 = 80,000 silver.

It's better to put camouflage anyway. The dimensions and height of the tank are quite modest, so there will still be benefits from such an investment. The cost of camouflage for all types of cards for one month will be 3 * 80,000 = 240,000 silver.

While upgrading STA-1 to the top state, you will be forced to use "gold" shells, because the silver penetration will simply not be enough to hit most targets. Otherwise, the tank is pretty comfortable. Let's take a closer look at its modules.

We have three weapons to choose from, but in general terms they are similar to each other, while differing only in penetration, which in the early stages of pumping will have time to ruin your life. Two pre-top guns will make you fork out a little by loading more gold into the ammunition load. Installing a top gun will partly solve the problem with penetration, but still, in games with tenth levels, you sometimes have to charge the COP. All in all, the guns are quite comfortable. All characteristics are in balance with each other.

There are two towers available for the STA-1. Actually, the top tower will give us only 10 m of view, no more. Her research is a forced matter. Both towers have weak armor, even the mask of which is not capable of stopping enemy shells. The dynamics indicator is quite good and is 42 degrees.

Both walkie-talkies have excellent characteristics. The difference between them is 30 m communication range. Whether to buy a top-end product is up to you personally. I will say one thing for sure - you will not notice any growth or improvement.

The ratio of the mass of the tank and the power of the top engine gives an indicator of the power density which can be described as "above average". This is about 17 hp. per ton of weight. The maximum speed is not high, only 45 km, but this is quite enough to feel that you are playing on a medium tank, and not on a T95.

The undercarriage has a relatively good indicator of agility. The top suspension, in comparison with the stock one, will add 4 degrees to the swing speed, and of course it will make it possible to install all modules and equipment.

In general, I cannot find any peculiarities of using STA-1 - the usual medium tank... The main thing is not to substitute yourself for shots and do not trade damage. Weak armor will not forgive you.

Our cardboard is clean, but you can get used to it thanks to the good vertical roll-down angles -10 ° from which we can play, taking advantage of the folds of the terrain.


In order to smooth out our negative feelings, we must quickly bring our tank to the top. If you have wanted to buy this tank for a long time and are waiting for a promotion, I say in advance, start accumulating free experience, we will need it immediately after purchase to study the top turret and cannon, thank the developers for the fact that the stock suspension allows us to do this. Then we can safely explore the rest of the modules. Being in top condition, we have a completely new tank with new sensations, but something similar to the American M26 Pershing.

Peculiarities

In terms of paper characteristics, our tank should surpass all medium tanks of its tier, but in practice and according to the experience of players who have already researched STA-1, it has its drawbacks that it should not have.

Head-on skirmishes with heavy tanks are strictly forbidden to us, especially on city maps. An excellent overview allows us to meet any tank that falls within our range of vision. High breakdown and fast reloading allows us to disassemble or at least scare the approaching tank without being exposed.

Outcomes

The tank is very specific, it needs a good player with good hands... Playing on it, you need to have patience, at the right time. STA-1 able to change the outcome of the battle. It feels best in a platoon with heavy tanks, performing the role of long-range support and light, or in a platoon with the same tanks. By itself, it is very comfortable to operate. If you have mastered it to the fullest, it means that one of the best of the eighth level is in your hands.
