Description

I was looking through the catalog with English-language modifications and came across the conversion of this beautiful armor posted by the user, for which special thanks to him, since I could not find the source (although now I already know that he is from the BioWare social network)

I simply did not have the courage not to translate such a beautiful armor. True, I allowed myself a little liberties in the translation: instead of translating heavy armor directly as "Ensign's Armor", I called them "Sergeant's Armor", in my opinion, it sounds better.

Now about the fashion itself. Adds two sets of armor (light and heavy), which you can see in the screenshots. You can find them on the ground floor of Radcliffe Castle after the Gathering of the Lands. However, this is quite a long time, and there will be little time left to run around in them, so the author prudently made a script that adds both sets to your inventory. In order to activate the console, you need to create a shortcut to the Dragon Age: Origins launcher file and in the "Object" field, after the final quotes ("), insert: -enabledeveloperconsole

In theory, you still need to open the KeyBindings file, which is in the Documents/BioWare/Dragon Age/Settings folder and in the OpenConsole_0=Keyboard::Button_Grave field, replace "Grave" with "~" (tilde), but for me, for example, without these changes the console through the tilde opens.

Among other things, to make it more convenient to work with the console, you can put , which will make the entered values visible (before that, an incomprehensible character set appeared and it was not clear what exactly you entered)

So, the console command that adds the Gray Wardens armor to your inventory:

Dragon Age: Origins has a fairly extensive amount of weapons and armor. Among ordinary swords, you can find unique sets, and among simple armor sets, which eventually give good bonuses. Hotel items themselves have special features, but we will talk about the bonus for everything together and where you can find it.

Dragon age: Origins armor is light:

- Dalish leather armor. You can find it in the Dalish camp by buying it from Varathorn. Putting the set together will give you +5 defense.
- Patchwork leather armor. The entire set is sold in Orzammar by two merchants - Legnar and Alimar. When fully assembled, you get +5 to armor;
- A set of leather armor. It can drop randomly anywhere and is sold by many merchants in the game. Gives you -5 fatigue;
- Studded leather armor. They also drop out in any location of the game or are bought from merchants. Adds +1 defense. In addition, you can buy in a special coloring;
- Wade's dragon skin armor. Manufactured by master Wade on the quest if he brings dragon scales. Can give you -10 fatigue;
- Superior Wade's dragon skin armor. Can be obtained if, when completing the above quest, bring additional dragon scales.

Now let's see what we can find from medium armor:

- Mail armor. The complete set can be found anywhere in the world or purchased from merchants. From bonuses gives you -2.5% to fatigue;
- Scale armor. Can be found or purchased individually. Owen has a complete set in Redcliffe. Grants a 4.5 bonus to repel ranged attacks;
- Plate armor. Besides the fact that they can be found in the world or bought in pieces, they can also be purchased from the Quartermaster at Ostagar or from coming to Wade in Denerim. Adds a total of +1 to armor;
- Dwarven armor. The armor can be picked up at the locations of Orzammar and the deep paths, or you can buy it from Gorim in the quarters of Denerim. Here, too, +1 armor;
- Ancient Elvish. You can pick up parts in Lothering, the Brecilian forest and the ruined temple. In a compartment, they give +5 to the defense indicator;
- Wade's dragon scale armor. Everything is not so simple here - if you pay at least once for work on Wade's armor, you will receive one armor, if you do not pay, you will receive others, if you bring more scales, you will receive a third. Some give -25% to fatigue, others also give 5 defense, and others -10% to fatigue and the same amount to defense.

Dragon age: Origins armor heavy:

- Armor of Zeal. Bought from Owen in Redcliffe and also assembled at the locations of the Ruined Temple and Orzammar Keepers. A full set gives +5 willpower;
- Parade armor. Can be purchased from the cultists at Calenhad Lake. Will give you a chance of +6 to repel attacks at a distance;
- Heavy dwarf armor. You can find them in Denerim from Gorim, or you can go to Orzammar and buy them from Janar Armourers. Add +1 to armor;
- Heavy mail armor. You can find it in the game or buy it in parts from different merchants. There is also a chance to drop from the Rogue Leader during the Rogues Everywhere quest. The last place where you can buy it can be considered a merchant from Soldier's Peak. Gives -3 to fatigue;
- Wade's dragon scale armor. You can get it if you never pay Wade for two sets and bring the scales of the higher dragon. Grants a -20% bonus to fatigue;
- Superior Wade's dragon scale armor. If you pay for at least one set of the first two and then bring the scales from the higher dragon, you will receive this set.

This is all the armor sets you can get in D ragon Age: Origins. We also suggest that you read the article in which you will find the game.

To date, there are only a few projects in the world of computer games that are incredibly successful. Series such as The Elder Scrolls or Mass Effect are known even to those users who are not very fond of this genre. Also worth highlighting is the Dragon Age series, which offers gamers the deepest immersion in a beautifully crafted game world. In it you will find a wide variety of enemies and allies with unusual abilities, as well as various sets of armor, weapons and other items that you can use in the future. This article will focus on what kind of armor happens in Dragon Age, using the example of the most popular game in the series - Origins.

Light armor

Naturally, your character can go through the whole game in a shirt or in a robe, if he chooses the path of a magician. However, in most cases, heroes in Dragon Age need armor. And even if you are not going to make a warrior out of your character, at least a light set may come in handy, as it will be able to protect you from small damage, will not restrict your movements, and will also allow you not to invest in unnecessary characteristics, because to put on heavy armor, you need to pump strength. And why do you need high strength indicators for a magician or archer? In this game, Wade's dragon skin armor is considered the best leather armor. They are able to reflect almost thirteen damage, while giving you good resistance to fire. And if they are also excellent, then resistance is doubled, and you also get additional points of agility. However, note that in Dragon Age, armor is not limited to what the original version of the game offers you: the Awakening expansion, for example, adds new sets of armor to the game.

Light armor in Awakening

This add-on adds several light armors at once - in Dragon Age, armor is already so diverse, but in this case you get access to much more powerful samples. For example, you can get the Blackblade armor, which gives your character a huge variety of bonuses, while providing much more solid protection than ordinary, even the best light armor. Accordingly, it is recommended to install the Awakening add-on, since in this case you can get more pleasure from searching, as well as from using various armor options. In Dragon Age: Inquisition, armor is not as diverse, but this episode of the game was released quite recently, so you can expect additions in the near future that will expand your options.

Medium armor

In Dragon Age, the best armor is the one that suits your character perfectly. After all, each type has its own special characteristics, so an armor that has only one, but a very important bonus for you, may be better for you than another armor that has a dozen bonuses that are useless for your hero. For example, if we talk about medium armor, then in fact, they provide only actual protection, since their bonus is a small minus to fatigue. But the ancient elven armor, although it has a lower defense indicator, at the same time adds to your hero both dexterity, physique, and resistance to magic, and a chance to reflect an attacking spell. In general, the choice must be made wisely. Naturally, there are armor mods in Dragon Age: Origins that can add even more options to the game, but it’s still worth considering the classic samples, as well as those that appear when you install the official add-on.

Medium Armor in Awakening

In Dragon Age: Inquisition, the best armor, of course, is among the original options. However, if we talk about Origins, then here the models from the add-on still have an advantage over the original samples - in most cases they have better protection indicators, as well as a more extensive effect of bonuses. For example, you can take one of the best examples of medium armor from the add-on - the armor of the Scout Legionnaire. She has almost 18 points of defense, but at the same time she also adds points of dexterity, endurance and attack to your character. It is also worth noting that this armor reduces the character's resistance to cold due to the fact that it simultaneously increases resistance to fire. This is a fairly high-quality armor in Dragon Age - the armor of the gray guards, of course, is much more impressive, but you will hardly find better among the average sets.

Heavy armor

If we talk about heavy armor, then here you definitely need to pay attention to parade armor, as it guarantees you a fairly high defense rate. But that's not all - you will also receive a number of bonuses from use, and only one of them will be negative - the loss of three defense points. But you will get psychological resistance to spells, as well as increase the chances of repelling an attack from a long distance.

Heavy armor in Awakening

Installing the Awakening add-on guarantees a gamer who chooses the path of a warrior or any other class that uses heavy armor a very good addition to the armor collection. The fact is that you will have access to the Stormbreaker armor, which is considered one of the most powerful in the game. Its protection rate is almost twice that of the ceremonial armor that was described earlier. But if that armor gave you only a couple of bonuses and even imposed one penalty, then in this case everything is much more impressive. You gain armor, agility, defense, and very high resistance to electricity spells. Moreover, when wearing this armor, your stamina in battle is restored much faster. As you can see, this armor can be of great use to you on the battlefield, so you should definitely look for it in Turnnoble Manor's Vigil's Tower.

massive armor

Most RPGs end up with heavy armor, but Dragon Age is a little different. The fact is that there is another section here, which is called "massive armor". These are the heaviest and most powerful specimens that require an incredibly high amount of strength, but also protect you from an impressive amount of damage. For example, the armor of the Legion of the Dead has a protection value of almost 32 units - in comparison, the previous armor, which is one of the most powerful in the game, has only about 27 units. But such a protection indicator does not remain "naked", that is, you also receive several bonuses. Among them, an increase in and to protection indicators, and when collecting a full set of armor, there is also a decrease in the level of fatigue, which is very important in the case of massive armor.

Massive armor from "Awakening"

Well, it's time to talk about the most powerful armor that exists in the game. As you can already understand, to access it you will need the Awakening add-on - once you install it, you will have two options for obtaining this armor. You can kill the First in the Shadow of the Black Marshes quest, and you can also get it in the chest after the Rift in the Veil quest. Why is this armor so good? First of all, it has the highest defense value among all other types of armor - 39 units. It has three holes for inserting enchanted stones, but even without them, this armor guarantees you strong bonuses. You'll get a boost to your constitution, your health will regenerate faster in combat, you'll also have an increase in almost all primary and secondary skills, you'll get a chance to dodge projectiles fired from a distance, as well as a certain level of resistance and an increase in the chance of critical damage. This is the armor you can get in the game, and then you definitely won’t need other models.

Armor mods

As you can see, in this game there is an incredibly huge variety of different armor. However, gamers create modifications that allow you to expand the range even further. Naturally, these are unofficial mods, so you can safely ignore them if you have enough armor already. However, for example, in the case of Dragon Age 2, armor mods can come in handy, since there are not as many types as in Origins.
