How to properly consecrate an apartment - with the help of a priest or on your own. How much does it cost on average to call a priest to bless an apartment? How to prepare for the consecration of an apartment

Religious reading: prayer for consecrating an apartment with holy water yourself to help our readers.

Of course, it is best to invite an Orthodox priest to completely consecrate your home. But the owners themselves can use Epiphany water and a church candle for this purpose. The corners of the house are walked around with a lit candle from left to right, starting from the front door and ending with it. At the same time, they read the prayer “May God rise again” or Psalm 90 (“Living in help”), or the short one “In the name of the father and son and the Holy Spirit, by sprinkling the holy water of sowing, so that every evil demonic action will be put to flight. AMEN. After reading the prayers words, sprinkle a corner with holy water and move on to another. If you don’t know the prayers by heart, then you can use the reading “Our Father.” Usually everyone knows it. In the daily bustle, do not forget about the main Jesus prayer: “Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me sinful." The daily prayers of a believer also sanctify the house and pray to the walls. May it be rewarded according to your Faith.

The residents of the house or apartment themselves can sprinkle their homes with holy water. Usually this is done on Epiphany evening.

As for the consecration of the house, it is carried out only by a priest, if we are talking about Orthodoxy. To do this, you need to go to the temple or church in advance and discuss all the issues of the rite of consecration. In some churches you need to register in advance for a certain date, because they try to take into account the baptism of infants, weddings, confessions at home and other issues that arise.

The house or apartment does not require special preparation. However, cleaning, of course, needs to be done. When choosing a date for the consecration of a house, it is advisable that all household members (or as many as possible who have such an opportunity) be at home at that time. This is a pious tradition, which may not be mentioned in the temple, believing that everything is already clear.

If we are talking about Orthodox traditions, then among us there is a complete and independent consecration of the home.

Full consecration is available only through the involvement of an Orthodox priest.

We can carry out partial (independent) sanctification ourselves.

You can consecrate your home yourself, using Epiphany consecrated water. This water can be stored on Epiphany night for the whole year. As a rule, believers do this at a rate of 10 to 30 liters per person. However, mathematics and physics have nothing to do with it.

When sprinkling your home with water, you should read the prayers “Our Father”, “Trisagion”, “May God rise again.”, Psalm 90 from the Psalter, as well as “In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, by sprinkling this sacred water, let all evil demonic work, amen."

These actions will be quite enough. “Excess” water after sprinkling should under no circumstances be thrown away anywhere, that is, sent to some sewer system. Although it is undesirable for drinking, it will bring significant benefits when watering house plants. This is much more pious than empty pouring out anywhere.

I think it would be better to invite a priest. It is believed that lighting a home is done only once. Then after some time, you can call the priest again and he will already conduct a ritual of cleansing from everything bad. If you still decide to consecrate your home yourself, then the easiest way is to use holy water. To do this, you really have to go to church. The main thing to remember is to illuminate with faith and humility.

I don't know how correct this is. I do this by placing 3 crosses above the doors and windows.

I light a candle and go clockwise around all the corners while reading the Lord’s Prayer, and first I baptize the corner with a candle, then I sprinkle holy water and so on everywhere, starting from the door.

Before cleaning, it is advisable to wash the floors, first with hot, then with cold water. You need to cover your head and wear clothes that can then be thrown away.

In the church, candles are bought according to the number of all rooms in the house or apartment. You need to start from the entrance: light a candle, outline the door with a cross, go in, walk around the perimeter of the room, while reading “Our Father”. Then you need to again outline the cross in front of the door, put out the candle and move on to the next room.

The remains of candles and wax are not thrown away, they are taken to church.

After cleaning, wash thoroughly and preferably throw away your clothes.

In general, you can invite a priest to clean your home.

To consecrate your home, you must comply with certain requirements.

For this you need church candles, you will need 6 of them. Half of them should be placed in the church itself on the same day near the icons of the Mother of God, Christ and St. Nicholas, and prayed. The remaining candles are needed for the home. In the dwelling to be sanctified, you first need to read the Lord’s Prayer 5 times, and only then walk around all the rooms around the perimeter, clockwise, with a burning candle. Candles can smoke, which means there is negativity in the room. Then you should sprinkle holy water in the corners, and drink what’s left of it.

In order to consecrate a house or apartment yourself, you don’t have to invite the priest!

You will need holy water and a church candle, which can be purchased at the church. Starting from the entrance, you should walk around all the rooms around the perimeter, while reading the prayer “Our Father”.

When you read the prayer, you need to sprinkle all the corners of the apartment with holy water, and then do not ventilate the room for at least a couple of hours.

The consecration of your home will contribute to the blessed mood of all inhabitants of the apartment, as well as the growth of family well-being.

It is customary for believers to bless their homes. And I believe that this is a very necessary and important ritual. To consecrate your home, you should invite a clergyman to your home. If there are reasons why you are not able to invite the priest, then you can do it yourself, but first you should go to the temple and receive a blessing from the priest.

consecration with holy water (you need fresh holy water from the church):

blessing with a candle (this is an old way):

I believe that lighting your home is a must. If you bought a home, then this is simply necessary. No one knows what kind of people lived there, how much anger or trouble there was within the walls of this house. It is best, of course, to invite a priest, but if you do not have such an opportunity, light the light yourself. You can use the icon of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker. This saint will continue to help you later.

How to consecrate an apartment yourself?

“Wonderworker Nicholas, bless me to cleanse the apartment and drive out demonic power from it. Let it be so. Amen".

Buy some candles for home. When you come home, light a candle and walk around the house, approaching all corners. This must be done clockwise. You need to properly consecrate an apartment with prayer, since these words drive out evil spirits and cleanse the space, and it sounds like this:

“I clean the corner, I clean the floor, I clean the ceiling and walls. I drive away demons, I drive away envy. I burn a candle to illness, illness and misfortune. Amen".

It is recommended to cross corners and walls with a candle. If the fire begins to crackle, this is a signal of the presence of negative energy; it is recommended to linger longer in such a coal. Repeat the ritual three Thursdays in a row. It is important these days not to forget to attend church and light candles at the icon of St. Nicholas the Pleasant. In a month you will already notice that the atmosphere in the house has become more comfortable.

How to sanctify an apartment yourself with water?

To carry out the ritual you will need holy water, a new bowl, an icon and a lamp. You can take sacred water from the church or consecrate it yourself. Before this, it is recommended to receive a blessing from the priest. You need to do some general cleaning on Saturday in advance. In the largest room, at least for a day, it is worth placing an icon with a lamp in the corner opposite the entrance. In general, it is recommended to prepare yourself for the ritual in advance, that is, do not drink alcohol, do not use foul language and pray regularly. Consecration must begin on Sunday. It is important to carry out the ritual in proper form: a woman must wear a skirt below the knees, a formal blouse and a scarf on her head. Don't forget about the cross.

It is best if all residents are at home during the ritual. You need to start the ritual only with a pure soul and faith. Having collected water into a new bowl and dipped three fingers folded with a pinch in it, you should start spraying the room, starting from the corner where the icon stands. You need to move clockwise. To consecrate an apartment with holy water yourself, say the following prayer:

“In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, by sprinkling the holy water, let every evil demonic activity be put to flight, Amen.”

If it was not possible to consecrate the apartment yourself, since there was a feeling of heaviness, then it is best to invite a priest who will conduct the ritual correctly, observing all the traditions.

Prayer for blessing an apartment with holy water yourself

How to properly consecrate a house or apartment yourself?

How to consecrate your home yourself?

Hello, dear Father Oleg.

Could you give practical guidance on how to properly consecrate your apartment, house, workplace, candles, etc.? When you light a candle, does it have to burn out completely? If you put out a candle, can you light it again?

Answer from Father Oleg Molenko:

Only a true Orthodox priest can consecrate a home with complete consecration. If one is not available or is absent due to the circumstances of the retreat, then any faithful can consecrate his home and things, incl. candles, sprinkling with holy Epiphany (Epiphany water). At the same time, to consecrate the house, you can read the prayer “May God rise again. “, Psalm 90 and “In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, by sprinkling sowing holy water, let every evil demonic action be put to flight, amen.”

You can also read the following prayer: “Lord.

You can consecrate your home absolutely free on one of the coming Thursdays.

Wonderworker Nikolai, bless me to cleanse the apartment and drive out demonic power from it. Let it be so. Amen."

I clean the corner, I clean the floor, I clean the ceiling and walls. I drive away demons, I drive away envy. I burn a candle to illness, illness and misfortune. Amen."

You can write this short prayer on a piece of paper, holding it in one hand, and with the other hand cross the corners of the apartment, the room itself and the walls.

Do this 3 Thursdays in a row, not forgetting to go to an Orthodox church on these days and ask Nikolai.

Many of us very rarely resort to the help of religion in difficult situations, but when things get serious and there is no one else to rely on, we remember God. The priests argue that the very fact of conversion is already a good step, regardless of when it is done. Therefore, there is nothing wrong with asking for help from higher powers. One of the manifestations of protecting yourself and your family through prayer is the consecration of your home. According to all the rules, only a priest can do this, but if for some reason his visit is impossible, then you can find out how to consecrate an apartment, house, even an office and industrial premises yourself.

In order to consecrate a home, you must have holy water collected on the night of Epiphany. It is necessary to sprinkle the house with it, all its rooms, all corners, windows, doors. At this time, the prayer “May God rise again” is read, then the 90th Psalm is read, and finally say “In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit.” And the confessors also say that there is none.

How to consecrate an apartment yourself? Of course, this issue becomes relevant after moving from one place of residence to another and in the case when a family has purchased housing in a new building. For what reasons does the above need arise? There are a lot of them: for example, the previous owners of the living space were quarrelsome people and constantly quarreled; it is possible that they had a lot of sinful vices. That is why, after moving to the purchased apartment, the new owners may experience a deterioration in their health, a loss of strength, or a depressive state. What could this mean? Only that the apartment is charged with negative energy due to regular scandals, abuse, swearing, and assault that previously took place here. What to do in this case? There is only one thing left: with the help of holy prayer, cleanse the room of “filth.” However, this ritual must be performed by a priest, but there are times when it is not possible to invite a representative of the church to perform the ritual.

You need a church candle, for this you don’t need to take expensive ones, a medium-sized and cheap one will be enough, they work best. Cleansing always starts from the front door. Be sure to read a prayer during the entire cleansing, I use the Our Father. And so you stand facing the front door, cross the door, you need to cross it in mirror image, i.e. from left to right. Then you move clockwise, which means to the right. Run the candle along all the walls, corners, run the candle through all the nooks and crannies. Cross doorways on both sides at the entrance and exit, and cross windows in the same way. In those places where the candle smokes and cracks, you need to clean it until all this disappears. Moving to the right you need to go around the entire apartment, every room in the house. Mirrors also need to be baptized. In general, mirrors in the house should be washed regularly with water, this removes from them all the negativity that they absorb. When you have walked around the whole house, return to...

How to consecrate an apartment

Orthodox Christians and those who live righteously believe in the evil intentions of their ill-wishers.

As practice shows, not everyone understands that negative information can be concentrated inside the confined space of their own apartment.

If you feel unwell and sick, then try to bless your home yourself with holy water and candles.

Of course, you can invite Father, who, for an appropriate fee, will consecrate the apartment, reading the necessary prayers without hindrance.

But you have to pay for it, and the clergy these days... are very busy.

In order to consecrate your apartment yourself, you will have to strictly follow the following instructions:

1). Go to the church shop and buy candles. I recommend first putting 3 candles to the icon of Jesus Christ, exactly the same number to the Image.

It is impossible to insure yourself against disaster, and there is no need to do this, so as not to live in eternal fear. Sometimes, as it seems, nothing has happened, however, something is clearly “wrong” at home, and every day this feeling intensifies. If you remain an inactive observer, you will soon be forced to take part in the negative outcome of the accumulation of unfavorable energy. There are ways to solve this problem and dispel the negativity of the apartment, one of them is consecration. A reasonable question arises: how to consecrate an apartment yourself? Luckily, this article answers that question.

In what cases is lighting necessary?

It is not always the case that a room needs church lighting and cleansing of energy. But, as practice shows, if you are reading this article, then in most cases your home needs consecration. To be sure, it is better to check the list of signs that clearly indicate improper energy at home:

Dishes break frequently. Households have become more frequent.

There are times when a person, being in his home, feels uncomfortable and unhappy. Sometimes people complain that they feel the presence of some spirits and creatures. In this case, to restore the normal energy background, it is recommended to properly consecrate the house or apartment, since holy water destroys all negativity and scares away evil spirits. To do this, it is not necessary to invite a priest, since the ritual can be performed independently.

How to consecrate an apartment yourself with candles?

“Wonderworker Nicholas, bless me to cleanse the apartment and drive out demonic power from it. Let it be so. Amen".

Buy some candles for home. When you come home, light a candle and walk around the house, approaching all corners. This must be done clockwise. Properly consecrate the apartment.

To sanctify your home is to let the holy spirit into your home and protect it from evil spirits and negative information that acquaintances and friends can bring even inadvertently. It is believed that in consecrated housing there are fewer illnesses and quarrels, and harmony reigns between relatives. Inviting a priest from church can be quite expensive, and not everyone can afford it. Therefore, we will tell you how to consecrate an apartment yourself.

Start by visiting a church where you buy at least 6 candles. Place three of them near Christ the Savior, the Mother of God and St. Nicholas the Wonderworker (you can place the Blessed Eldress Matrona). Ask them for their blessing to perform the ceremony. Take the remaining candles home.

If you come on any church holiday, don’t forget to take water! If this is not possible, holy water can always be purchased at the church store.

When you cross the threshold of a house or apartment, take off your outerwear. As for the headdress, women should leave it on.

From this article you will learn how to bless your apartment yourself with candles and holy water.

This question worries many ordinary people.

Orthodox Christians are accustomed to the fact that an apartment is consecrated only by a minister of the Temple, and not by a lay person.

In fact, you can consecrate your home absolutely free on one of the coming Thursdays.

To do this, go to Church and buy several candles for your home and 3 for the Orthodox image of St. Nicholas.

Lighting 3 candles for him, cross yourself and say these prayer lines:

Wonderworker Nikolai, bless me to cleanse the apartment and drive out demonic power from it. Let it be so. Amen.

When you come home, light one candle and walk with it through all the corners of your apartment without exception, while reading the prayer for consecration, which I inherited:

The New Year holidays have come to an end. Tomorrow is Epiphany. And although the weather outside my window is not Epiphany weather at all - there are puddles on the asphalt from the night rain, which means that

the temperature outside is above zero - for me Epiphany remains one of the most mysterious and enigmatic holidays. On this day, the Universe lifts the curtain and we can find out our future, solve seemingly insoluble problems, and get answers to questions that concern us.

If anyone doesn’t know, Epiphany as a holiday was established in honor of the baptism of Jesus Christ in the Jordan River. The ritual of baptism itself implies repentance, deliverance from sins. And although Jesus had nothing to repent of, he, showing humility, accepted Baptism from John and thereby sanctified the watery nature. Since then, on the day of Epiphany, all the world’s waters, the waters of the entire Earth - from a small stream to the oceans - become holy on this day. This also applies to tap water. You don't have to go to church to get holy water.

Of course, the consecration of an apartment is the job of a clergyman, therefore, if you want to consecrate your apartment and cleanse it of demons, you need to come to the Church and negotiate with the rector for the clergy to come to your home and consecrate your home. But, if you have no opportunity to invite a priest to your place, then God allows you to consecrate your home yourself. How to properly sprinkle with holy water?

Each of us, to the best of our ability and ability, tries in everyday life to maintain cleanliness in our homes and neatness in our clothing. And there are some especially clean people who zealously maintain cleanliness and order. And how concerned is such a person if, for some reason, this order and cleanliness is violated?

Likewise, a person who is accustomed to monitoring the purity of his heart and the neatness of his soul cannot live without repentance. Such a person waits and longs for another confession, just as parched earth awaits life-giving moisture. Imagine for a moment a person who has not washed off bodily dirt all his life! So the soul requires washing, and what would happen if there were no Sacrament of Repentance, this healing and cleansing “second Baptism”! When taking care of your home, don’t forget to take care of your soul!

If you are going to sprinkle your home, then before that you need to clean the house, wash all the floors, wipe off the dust, etc.

Church rituals

The Slavic word “rite” itself means “outfit”, “clothing” (you can recall, for example, the verb “to dress”). The beauty, solemnity, and variety of church rituals attract many people. But the Orthodox Church, in the words of St. John of Kronstadt, does not occupy anyone and does not engage in idle spectacles. Visible actions have invisible, but completely real and effective content. The Church believes (and this faith is confirmed by two thousand years of experience) that all the rituals it performs have a certain sanctifying, that is, beneficial, renewing and strengthening effect on a person. This is an act of God's grace.

Conventionally, all rituals are divided into three types:

1. Liturgical rites - sacred rites performed during church services: anointing of oil, the great consecration of water, the carrying of the holy shroud to the Great.

Orthodox Christians elevate the rite of consecration of their home to the category of obligatory sacraments. The symbolism of this action is that the room will be protected from demonic forces, you will become closer to the church and the blessing of God. Most often, Christians consecrate a new home or after a major renovation. The priest in the church very often recommends consecrating an apartment if seriously ill people, small children, or a family on the verge of a breakdown live in it.

According to Christian canons, the consecration of a home should be carried out by a clergyman. If you have such an opportunity, I would advise inviting the priest from the temple. As a rule, priests go to the house with their necessary attributes: censer, oils, lamp, candles, holy water. But, just in case, you can buy candles at the nearest icon shop. Also keep holy water on hand. The blessing of water is carried out once a year at the Epiphany of the Lord. On this day, it is taken from any source, mainly from an ice hole. You can also dial.

In the process of moving into a new home (be it a barely completed apartment in a new building or a typical one-room/two-bedroom apartment in long-built buildings, already belonging to the secondary real estate market), the question inevitably arises: what rituals should be carried out to energetically balance this space and configure it “ for yourself"? Today there are a lot of methods and techniques belonging to different traditions, but the ideal option with which to start activating the positive forces of space is cleansing the apartment with a candle.

General principles of fire purification of living space

The use of candles in the energetic improvement of a house or apartment is not a new invention at all, historically dating back to the times when people performed complex rituals when laying the foundation of a house, when moving into it and living in it. They believed that they needed to carry a purifying substance (either fire or water) around the perimeter of the house that would potentially eliminate everything.

Bless your apartment: 7 possible reasons why you shouldn’t do it. Here’s how! I didn’t even know about some of the reasons for refusal! The first option, in my opinion, is even a little strange and probably controversial! I would never have thought of such a thing! The consecration of a home is a special ritual with which you can change your life for the better and protect yourself from negativity. However, there are reasons why this should not be done.

Consecrate the apartment: We often hear that a house not consecrated by the priest is the dwelling of the devil, but is this true? After all, there are reasons why, due to circumstances, this ritual cannot be performed. Opinions on this matter are divided.

However, all clergy are unanimous in the opinion that where there is no proper faith, neither consecration, nor icons, nor church candles will help. Therefore, before you decide to consecrate your home, discuss your decision with your household and be sure to take into account their opinion on this matter.

Bless your apartment: 7 reasons why you shouldn’t bless your home

The first reason is a dog in the house.

Many priests consider the room in which a dog lives to be unclean and refuse to consecrate the house. This is due to the belief that a dog upsets the balance of energy and desecrates shrines and icons located in the house.

Many believe that it is useless to consecrate such premises, because the dog will not go anywhere, and with its presence it nullifies all the efforts made.

The second reason is things with heavy energy.

Any object carries information. It accumulates over the years and can be both positive and negative. But there are some things that cannot be thrown away - it could be some kind of memorable item that is dear to a person.

It is unlikely that he will want to part with him, and most often he will simply give up on all persuasion. Sanctification is getting rid of negative information and, as it were, rewriting all energy.

But if you have very old things, then it is almost impossible to delete information from them. That is why a house should not be consecrated as long as such things are in it.

The third reason is unbaptized household members.

A house consecrated by a priest will not bring you closer to religion and will not give you any protection if you do not believe in what is happening. Moreover, if there is a person in the house who is not a supporter of Orthodoxy.

In such cases, the consecration ritual should not be carried out out of respect for the Orthodox religion and its canons.

The fourth reason is the disagreement of one of the household members.

The consecration of the premises is a purely voluntary thing and is carried out only with the voluntary consent of all residents of the house. If someone refuses such a ritual, citing various reasons, it is worth delaying consecration. After all, disbelief and rejection of this action will not bring either happiness or comfort to the rest of the family members.

Reason five - there is a dead person in the house.

It is believed that the consecration ceremony cannot be performed if a person has died in the house and forty days have not passed since his death. The ritual should be performed only after the soul has gone to Heaven and there appears before the Supreme Court.

The sixth reason is the presence in the house of representatives of another religion or another cult.

If in the house, in addition to Orthodox Christians, there live people who worship other Gods, then the ritual is definitely not worth carrying out.

Conflict of religions can become a stumbling block and provoke discord in the family. Therefore, you should discuss in advance with your household the benefits of the consecration ceremony.

Reason seven - people practicing magic.

If there are those in your house who use non-Christian rituals, and also predict the future, tell fortunes on cards and try in every possible way to change their destiny, then sanctification is unlikely to lead to happiness.

All priests are against such activities due to the fact that only God wants to lead us to the dear life, and life is given in order to live it righteously, without using tricks and rituals.

Many people today turn to priests with a request to bless their apartment. Such a service in Russia costs from zero to 3000 rubles.

What is this?

Calling a priest to consecrate an apartment means inviting a priest into a home for the purpose of conducting a ceremony to expel evil spirits and invoke God’s grace.

Calling a minister may be required in the following cases:

  • When a family changes their place of residence, I would like to receive a blessing to live in a new place.
  • After the death of one of the residents of the house (especially if the death was violent, suicide occurred).
  • We need to strengthen our mental strength.
  • There is a seriously ill person in the family.
  • I want to find happiness and prosperity in my home.
  • Check-in to a new building (a new house, according to church canons, requires a blessing).
  • Strange things are happening in the room.

Consecration is a rite of Orthodox Christianity, during which any objects and places are cleansed from the negative influence of the otherworldly demonic world. In order to consecrate the apartment, they turn to the temple servants.

If there is a need to consecrate a house, you need to do a number of the following actions:

  1. Visit the nearest temple.
  2. Approach the priest and ask him to bless the apartment, agree on the day and time of arrival.
  3. Purchase and prepare the necessary paraphernalia (candles, icons, holy water).
  4. Wait for the priest to arrive or pick him up in your own transport.
  5. Attend the ritual.
  6. Pay for the work done.
  7. Thank the priest.

The process of consecrating an apartment is as follows:

  • Reading the prayer “Our Father”, Psalm 90. The celebrant prays for those living in the room and for specific people.
  • Blessing with olive oil.
  • Sprinkling the room with holy water.

The ritual lasts from 20 to 30 minutes. Sometimes the priest is asked to come again.

What does the price depend on?

The cost of consecrating an apartment by a priest varies and depends on the following factors:

  1. Family financial situation.
  2. The generosity of the man who called the priest.
  3. Method of calling a priest.
  4. Features of the temple.
  5. Room type.
  6. The purpose of calling a priest.
  7. Number of rooms in the house.
  8. Region where the church is located.
  9. Distance from the temple to the apartment.
  10. The need and price of church paraphernalia.

As a rule, the priest does not name the specific cost of his work. If a family has financial difficulties, the priest will not refuse free help.

Types of service

You can call a priest to bless the room in one of the following ways:

  • Through an intermediary (website).
  • Directly upon visiting the temple.
  • By phone (if you have priest’s contact numbers).

The last two options are the cheapest. When using the first method, you will have to pay the site owner for selecting and calling a clergyman.

You can bring the priest to the apartment using your own transport or arrange for him to arrive on your own.

Approximate prices

Temples do not post a price list for the consecration of an apartment by a priest. Therefore, you can call a clergyman absolutely free. To consecrate a house, time, money for travel and the purchase of attributes are spent. It is advisable to pay the priest so much that these costs are at least recouped. The temple exists through donations, and payment for the service is the salary of the worshiper.

Ordering a priest’s visit through the website will cost the amount from 5,000 rubles for the consecration of apartments and about 10,000– for offices. When calling a priest when visiting a temple or by telephone, the service may cost up to 3,000 rubles. In Moscow people usually give from 1,000 to 3,000, in small towns – 500-1000 rubles.

Where and from whom can I order the service?

If you need to consecrate your apartment, you can order this service in one of the following ways:

  1. Go to a special website and call the priest by filling out the online form.
  2. Go to the temple and arrange with the priest to come to the house.
  3. Call a clergyman you know and arrange for help.

The last two options are preferable. They are cheaper, but take some time to visit the church and communicate with the clergy. Ordering a service on the website will be more expensive. But then you don’t need to go to church and look for the priest. After sending the application, the priest himself will call you back.

Consecration of the home

If a given thing is used not sinfully, it can be sanctified, but if it is used sinfully, then it is not necessary.

The Church believes (and this faith is confirmed by two thousand years of experience) that all the rituals it performs have a certain sanctifying, that is, beneficial, renewing and strengthening effect on a person. This is an act of God's grace.

Conventionally, all rituals are divided into three types:

1. Liturgical rites - sacred rites performed during church services: anointing of oil, the great blessing of water, the removal of the holy shroud on Good Friday, and so on. These rituals are part of the temple, liturgical life of the Church.

2. Symbolic rituals express various religious ideas of the Church. These, for example, include the sign of the cross, which we repeatedly perform in remembrance of the sufferings on the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ and which, at the same time, is a real protection of a person from the influence of evil demonic forces and temptations on him.

3. Rituals that sanctify the everyday needs of Christians: commemoration of the dead, consecration of homes, products, things and various good undertakings: study, fasting, travel, construction, and the like.

What should be our participation in church rituals?

Ritual forms are given their sacred meaning by prayer. Only through prayer does an action become a sacred act, and a number of external processes become a ritual. Not only the priest, but also each of those present must make their contribution to the ceremony - their faith and their prayer.

Grace, help, various gifts are given by God, given solely by His mercy. But “just as the source does not forbid those who wish to draw from it, so the treasure of grace does not forbid any person to be a partaker of it” (Reverend Ephraim the Syrian). We cannot, with the help of some magical actions, “force” God to send down what we need, but we can ask Him with faith. The Holy Scripture says about the necessity of faith for prayer: “Let him ask in faith, without doubting in the least, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, lifted and tossed by the wind. Let such a person not think that he will receive anything from the Lord” (James 1:6-7). When we pray to the Lord, we must believe that the Lord is omnipotent, that He can create or grant what we ask for. To believe that He loves us, that He is merciful and good, that is, He wishes the best for everyone. It is with such faith that we must pray, that is, turn our mind and heart to God. And then, if during the ceremony we not only stand next to the priest, but also pray heartily with faith, then we too will be honored to receive sanctifying grace from the Lord.

What is the meaning of sanctification

Orthodox Christians call sanctification the rites that are introduced by the Church into the temple and personal life of a person, so that through these rites the blessing of God descends on his life, on all his activities and on the entire environment of his life. The basis of the various church prayers is the desire to spiritualize human activity, to perform it with God's help and with His blessing. We ask the Lord to direct our affairs in such a way that they are pleasing to Him and benefit our neighbors, the Church, the Fatherland and ourselves; bless our relationships with people so that peace and love prevail in them, etc. And therefore we ask that our home, the things that belong to us, the vegetables grown in our garden, the water from the well, through the blessing of God that has descended on them, help us in this, protect us, and strengthen our strength. The consecration of a house, apartment, car or any other thing is evidence, first of all, of our trust in God, our faith that nothing happens to us without His holy will.

The Church sanctifies everything necessary for human life with prayer and blessing. The Church sanctifies all nature and all the elements: water, air, fire and earth.

Why are rites of consecration necessary?

The life, health and well-being of people largely depend on the state of their natural and spiritual environment. The destructive consequences of environmental disasters associated with contamination and destruction of the surrounding nature for people have not only visible, external, physical causes, but also invisible, spiritual causes. Among the spiritual reasons underlying all natural phenomena, as well as social and state phenomena, such as revolutions, wars and various kinds of global restructuring, the Holy Church highlights, first of all, the religiosity of people's life. What is the degree of religiosity, what is the morality and behavior of people, such is the state of visible nature and the course of history. People sin, move away from God, perverting their moral order, and, as a result, it deteriorates in the world. This first happened after the fall of our ancestors Adam and Eve, who violated the only commandment of God given to them. Man sinned, and as a result, the whole world created by God for man changed: destruction, illness, sorrow, corruption, entered the world. The Lord spoke to Adam and Eve after the Fall: “He said to the woman: I will multiply your sorrow... And to Adam he said: ...cursed is the ground because of you; in sorrow you will eat from it all the days of your life” (Genesis 3:16-17).

Righteous John of Kronstadt writes that the rites of consecration “are caused by the extreme need of nature itself or the nature of the elements and the need of the people themselves, who live in the air and have an incessant need for the water element,” fire and earth. “All nature, all the elements are constantly desecrated and corrupted by human sins and dark and crafty spirits living in the air and giving rise to all sorts of pernicious trends and diseases in it. There is an urgent need for church sanctification and healing of these elements.”

Why is it so important to consecrate houses in our time?

According to the teachings of the holy fathers of the Church, the unclean spirit, the devil, the prince of darkness and hell, the spirit of malice, the enemy of the human race, dominates the air until the second coming of Christ. The Slavic word air has several meanings. This is the atmosphere of the earth in which we physically exist; this includes the airwaves, which today are more crowded than ever with radio waves, television, cellular and radio signals; this, finally, is what modern pagans and Jews call the astral plane - the area of spiritual visions and contacts, in which, like nowhere else, the devil resides and dominates with legions of unclean spirits.

Television, press and radio broadcasting, anti-Christian in spirit, corrupting the Russian people today worse than any wine and vodka, have become the main sources of spiritual food for the Russian people. Today, in almost every home, a “blue icon” of the devil is placed in a red corner - a television, in front of which the population of Russia spends hours on end, as if in a narcotic sleep, hypnotized and programmed for self-destruction and extinction.

Through the ether and astral plane, our houses, apartments, cars were filled with countless legions of demons: spirits of aggression, anger, revenge, shameless passion. People are no longer able to understand how their family and life well-being is being destroyed with the help of thoroughly developed technologies for destroying the traditional system of values, ethics, and morality. Few people today are able to connect the disobedience of children, their addiction to alcohol and drugs, the endless divorces of young and middle-aged married couples with the presence in their home of a real enemy - a television, a radio, a tabloid newspaper, which skillfully undermine the morality of society, the family, through the implanted poison of vulgarity and debauchery. The cult of pleasure attracts more and more souls to destruction.

Therefore, today the grace of God, given through the rites of consecration, in particular, through the consecration of our homes, is especially necessary for us to help us protect, consciously protect ourselves from the viruses of sinful temptation and spiritual decay that penetrate our homes.

Will the consecration of the house itself save us?

Saint Theophan the Recluse writes: “All grace coming from God through the holy cross, holy icons, holy water, relics, consecrated bread ('artos, antid'or, prosphora) and others, including the most holy communion of the Body and Blood of Christ, has power only for those who are worthy of this grace through prayers of repentance, repentance, humility, service to people, works of mercy and the manifestation of other Christian virtues. But if they are not there, then this grace will not save, it does not act automatically, like a talisman, and is useless for the wicked and imaginary Christians (without virtues).”

The same can be said about the consecration of a home. A house dominated by empty, idle pastime is like a house with luminous windows during a night raid by enemy aircraft. Modern television, press and radio broadcasting, in a completely diabolical way, under the guise of entertainment and pleasure, alienate us from our Heavenly Father, from the One in Whose hand is our entire earthly life and the life of the next century. Therefore, no sanctification will make sense and will not have a beneficial effect on our lives if, in particular, the demons of television and radio broadcasting reign supreme in the air of our apartments and houses. In moments of misfortune that befall us, in order to appease the district judge and prosecutor, on whom our fate or the fate of our loved ones who have violated the criminal law depends, we are ready to sacrifice our last money and much more, and in breaking the law of God, do we really think that if We will continue to irritate the Lord with our unbelief and amusements with demons, then He will be merciful to us? No. The libertine and blasphemer, by his deviation from God and from His commandments, commits the most terrible judgment on himself - he remains without God alone with the devil and his servants, who only need his soul, or rather, its fall and death.

Let us remember that the consecration of a house is both its protection from all disasters, and a blessing for good deeds and for the protection of our home from everything evil that is contrary to God; a blessing so that we do not leave God and try to direct our lives not according to the laws that the enemy of the human race introduces into human life, but according to the Law of God.

Ceremony of consecration of a new house

The entire world created by God lives and moves according to the Law of God. Therefore, without God’s blessing and help, nothing truly valuable, important, good, or useful can be done. The Savior Himself said in the Gospel: “Without Me you can do nothing” (John 15:5). And the prophet David says: “Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain; If the Lord does not protect the city, the watchman watches in vain” (Ps. 126:1).

Our ancestors knew about this. “Without God there is no way,” says the Russian proverb. They often prayerfully turned to God, calling for blessings on every endeavor. Therefore, from ancient times, the homes of Christians were consecrated with prayer songs and sacred rites.

The Orthodox Church consecrates new houses following the example of the consecration of the temples of God. Even at the beginning of the construction of a house, a cross is laid at its foundation, and holy icons are installed in the house itself as signs (signs) of the gracious presence of the Lord and the saints in the Christian home. In the home of a Christian, the Church allows all types of its worship to be performed with the exception of the Divine Liturgy and the sacrament of the priesthood. She does not forbid bringing into every Christian home, in certain cases, the most holy and all-sanctifying Body and life-giving Blood of Christ.

How to bless the walls of a house with holy water?

Since ancient times, special prayer rites have existed for the blessing and consecration of a Christian home and hearth. At the beginning of the construction of a house, a small consecration of water is performed and prayers “for the foundation of the house” contained in the Trebnik are read. The Trebnik also sets out the rite of consecration of a new house. To this rite, when consecrating a house, prayers “about the church, chilled by evil spirits” and prayer “over the church” can be added. The first prayer, as the name suggests, is of an incantatory nature; it is used during the consecration of those houses “that suffer the intrigues and misfortunes of evil spirits” (New Tablet). The second prayer is read to consecrate the hearth - the most important part of the Christian home, associated with the preparation of meals.

Before the consecration of a new house, a small blessing of water is performed, or the priest comes to the house, bringing holy water with him. A table covered with a clean tablecloth is provided in advance in the house, a vessel with holy water and a small vessel with ordinary, unconsecrated oil (vegetable oil) are placed on it, the Gospel, a cross are placed, and candles are lit in candlesticks.

On each of the four walls a cross is depicted in advance - to commemorate the cover and firm fencing, deliverance and preservation by the power of the cross from all evil and misfortune, from enemies visible and invisible.

After the exclamation “Blessed is our God...” and the usual initial prayers, the 90th Psalm “Living in the help of the Most High...” is read, in which the Church encourages future residents, saying that they will live in their new home under the shelter of the heavenly God and that under the shadow of the Almighty they will not be afraid of either terrors in the night or arrows flying by day. “No evil will befall you, and no plague will come near your dwelling,” exclaims the prophet (Ps. 91:10).

Then a troparion (a short church hymn) is sung, which says that once the Savior, having entered the house of Zacchaeus, granted salvation to him and all his household. So now, together with the servants of Christ, the Angels of God enter the new house. The Church asks the Lord to give peace to this house and to graciously bless it, saving and enlightening all who are going to live in it.

Turning to the east, the priest says: “Let us pray to the Lord,” “Lord, have mercy,” they answer him, and he reads a prayer similar in content to the troparion sung before this. He prays to the Savior, who deigned to enter the house of Zacchaeus and granted salvation to his entire house, to bless the newly built dwelling and save those who will live in it from all evil, abundantly giving them all the blessings of the Lord for their benefit.

In the next secret prayer (that is, a prayer read not aloud, but silently), the priest asks the Lord to grant salvation to the house, as He brought it to the house of Zacchaeus, to bless this house, as He once blessed the house of Lav'an by coming to him of Jacob, the house of Pentephrius - by the coming of Joseph into it, Abedd'ar - the ark brought into his house. (These events are narrated in the Bible, in the book of Genesis, chapter 30, verses 25-30; chapter 39, verses 1-5 and in the 2nd book of Kings, chapter 6, verses 10-12.) He prays to the Savior to send blessings down to the future inhabitants of the new house from the heights of His dwelling, to protect them with the fear of God, to protect them “from those who resist” and to multiply “all that is good in this house.” At the end of the prayer, the priest proclaims: “For it is Yours to forgive and save us, O our God, and to You we send glory, to the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto ages of ages.” Those present respond: “Amen.”

At this point in the rite, a prayer “over food” can be added to it. In it, the priest calls for help to protect the home from enemies visible and invisible - Angels, guardians of Christians, and all the saints of God, including the Hieromartyr Cyprian, who was once served by demons in the art of magical intrigues and who, having believed in Christ, began to rebel against them and defeat them (New Tablet).

Then the priest crosses the oil three times in the name of the Most Holy Trinity and reads a prayer over the oil, in which he asks God to send the Most Holy Spirit onto the oil and consecrate it, so that it will be for the consecration of this place and the house built on this place to drive away “all resistant and satanic forces.” slander."

After reading the prayer, the priest sprinkles the entire house with holy water (sprinkles each room on all four sides), praying: “By sprinkling this holy water, let all the evil demonic action be put to flight.” Then he anoints the 4 main walls of the house (in those places where the cross was previously inscribed) with holy oil, saying the words: “This house is blessed with the anointing of this holy oil, in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, amen.”

Candles are lit in front of each cross inscribed on the walls, giving honor to the honest, life-giving Cross of the Lord, “which is a shield, a weapon against the devil and a sign of victory over him, ... a seal so that the “destroying angel” will not touch us (Ex. 12) , 23) and... the tree of eternal life (Exposition of the Orthodox Faith, 1844, p. 243).

The stichera sung by the choir contains a prayer to the Lord to bless this house, fill it with earthly blessings and save its future inhabitants “from all evil of the situation” and grant them an abundance of heavenly and earthly blessings.

Then the priest reads the Gospel (Luke 19:1-10), which tells about the Savior’s visit to the house of the publican (tax collector) Zacchaeus, who, although he was a sinful man, wanted to see the Lord so much that he climbed a tree . In response to the murmur of those who said that Jesus had entered the house of a sinful man, Christ said about Zacchaeus and about his house: “Now salvation has come to this house, because he also is a son of Abraham; for the Son of Man came to seek and to save that which was lost.” The Church offers this passage from the Gospel to the residents of a new Christian home, joyfully proclaiming that now salvation has come to their home and that the Lord always comes to the home of those who long to see Him.

Then Psalm 100 is read, which contains instructions on how to behave in a new home. Reflecting on the blameless path, King David says: “I will walk in the integrity of my heart in the midst of my house” (Ps. 100:2).

After the reading of the psalm, a litany is said. In it, in addition to the usual petitions, there are also petitions for the blessing of the house. All those present pray to the Lord of our life to send a Guardian Angel, a guardian of the new home, preserving everyone “who wants to live piously in it,” from all evil and instructing them to do virtues, to fulfill the commandments of Christ. They also ask that the Lord save them all from hunger and all deadly wounds and grant them health and long life.

Sprinkling the house with holy water

According to church tradition, all Orthodox Christians on Epiphany Eve after the great blessing of water sprinkle their homes with Epiphany water while singing or reading the troparion of the holiday:

In the Jordan I am baptized to Thee, O Lord, / Threefold worship appeared: / The voice of the Fathers testified to Thee, / naming Thy beloved Son, / and the Spirit in the form of a dove / Knowing your verbal statement. / Appeared “Hey, O Christ God, / and enlightened peace, glory to Thee.”

But at other times it is also useful to sprinkle your home with holy water. When sprinkling, the following prayer is read to the honorable cross:

May God rise again, and may He be scattered at once, and may those who hate Him flee from His presence. As smoke disappears, let them disappear; as wax melts in the presence of fire, so let them perish on behalf of those who love God and are known with the sign of the cross, and in joy say: Rejoice, most honorable and life-giving of the Cross of the Lord, drive away demons are upon you with the power of our Lord Jesus Christ, who descended into hell and trampled upon the power of the devil, and who gave us His honorable Cross to drive away every adversary. O most honorable and life-giving Cross of the Lord! Help me with the Holy Virgin Mary and with all the saints forever. Amen.

Psalm 90

1 He who lives, with the help of the Most High, will be established in the realm of the heavenly God. 2 The Lord says: My God is my protector and my refuge, and I trust in Him. 3 For He will deliver you from the net of l'ovchi, and from the words of rebellion, 4 He will overshadow you with His splash, and under His wing you will hover, or Ego's truth will be eaten up like a snake. 5 Do not fear from the fear of the night, from the arrows that fly in the days, 6 from the things that pass in the darkness, from the cutting and the devil of the day. 7 Thousands of your lands will fall, and the darkness at your right hand will not come close to you, 8 otherwise your eyes will be rejected and rewarded. Behold the sinners' deeds. 9 For You, O Lord, are my hope; The Most High has made you your refuge. 10 Evil will not come to you, and evil will not approach your body, 11 “For His Angel commanded you to keep you in all your ways.” 'their. 12 They will lift you up in their arms, lest you strike your foot with a stone; 13 Thou shalt attack the asp and the basil, and thou shalt trample the lion and the serpent. 14 For in Me is my trust, and I will deliver; covering ‘and because I knew ‘My name’. 15 He will call to Me, and I will hear him, with him seven in the sky, I will destroy him and glorify him 16 I will fulfill him with the length of days and appear yu em'u salvation Mo'e.

The Divine Spirit, through the mouth of the Godfather David, reveals in this psalm the greatness of God’s works. The prophet shows what abundance of benefits lies in trust in God. Those secretly guided by Christ defeat invisible enemies, principalities and powers, the world rulers of the darkness of this age, the spirits of wickedness in high places (see Eph. 6:12), and the most hated Satan (Chrysostom, Athanasius, Theodoret).

1. He who is alive will be established in the realm of the heavenly God with the help of the Most High.
The prophetic spirit pleases a person whose help and assistance is Christ Himself. Do you see what boldness one has towards the Almighty who fulfills His commandments? (Athanasius, Hesychius).

2. The Lord says: You are my protector and my refuge, my God, and I trust in Him.

3. For He will deliver you from the network of l’ovchi, and from the words of rebellion,

David from here turns his speech to the believer himself and encourages him: God will deliver you from the snare of trappings (secret machinations of opposing forces) and from rebellious (offensive) words (Theodoret, Athanasius).

4. The splash of His will fall upon you, and under the wing of His wings, His truth will surround you like a weapon.

Krills refers to the action of God's Providence, using the likeness of birds that cover their chicks with their wings. His truth is Christ God, His weapon is the Cross of Christ. Like chicks under the wing of a k'okosh (mother hen), so the whole world is under the wing of the Lord, He warms everyone and everything - some spiritually, others - with material warmth. And just as the kokosh hears the squeaks and sighs of the chicks under it, so the Lord hears the secret sighs, our prayers, sees all our needs (Chrysostom, Theodoret, John of Kronstadt).

5. Do not fear from the fear of the night, from the arrows that fly in the days,

He called an arrow some kind of evil spirit, “the angel of death” (Athanasius).

6. from things that pass in darkness, from cuttings and half-dead creatures.

The thing that passes in darkness is every kind of malice that manifests itself where it is not expected; and a midday meeting is a clear and open harm. Note that the midday demon angered David when he fell into adultery after his midday nap. Other fathers call the midday demon the spirit of laziness and despondency, attacking at certain hours, like a fever on a sick soul, and destroying its strength. Sryasch - there is any unforeseen event, meeting, attack (Chrysostom, Athanasius, Cassian).

7. Thousands of thousands of people will fall from your country, and darkness will be at your right hand, but it will not come close to you,

In the highest sense, the psalm indicates that he who lives in God's help will be attacked on the left side (from the country) by thousands of evil arrows - rage and lust, and on the right (right hand) - darkness, that is, ten thousand; for many evil forces are directed towards the destruction of what is right in us. The devil, knowing that many do not openly accept their sins, begins to attack them with things that seem good, but then through them he overthrows them into obvious evil. But the Lord does not cease to save those who love Him (Athanasius, Hesychius).

8. In your eyes, you will see and see the reward of sinners.

With your own eyes you will see victory over your enemies and fair retribution to them. You will see the reward for mental sinners in your mind after sober prayer. It is she who frees our mind from any material image of evil thoughts and allows it to recognize the suggestions of mental adversaries and feel the benefits of sobriety (Chrysostom, Hesychius).

9. For You, O Lord, are my hope; The Most High has made you your refuge.

The spirit of the man of God and the Spirit of the prophets, responding to each other, show how much benefit there is in trusting in God. God cares so much about the faithful because he has completely surrendered to the will of God and placed all his trust in Him: for You, Lord, are my hope. For this, - the prophet answers the faithful, - you will be honored with providence from Him, since you have made the Most High your refuge (Athanasius, Theodoret).

10. Evil will not come to you, and evil will not approach your body, 11 “For His Angel commanded you to keep you in all ways.” yours.

The prophet encourages man: not only will disasters not overcome him, but they will not even come close. God, through the Angels, will repel the devil's attacks. More than people, be ashamed of the Angels, of whom there are many with us, and avoid every shameful action. By Angels also mean God-bearing men and priests (priests), who have knowledge of God, protect and guide us in life from temptations, “before the mouth of the priest retains his understanding, and seeks the law from his mouth, like an Angel.” There is the Lord Almighty" (Mal. 2:7) (Chrysostom, Theodoret, Nile).

12. They will lift you up in their arms, lest they strike your foot with a stone;

The devil brought these words to Christ, but the Lord, rebuking him, said in response: it is written: Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God (Deut. 6:16; Matt. 4:7), for God promised help not to the tempter, but to the needy, not vain, or seeking empty glory, but in dire need. By a stone we can understand every sin and every obstacle to virtue, and by a foot - the soul of a person (Chrysostom, Pelusiot, Athanasius).

13. Attack the asp and basil, and trample the lion and the serpent.

In the highest sense, by attacking poisonous and carnivorous animals, David expressed victory over evil. Whoever tramples anger tramples a lion, because the lion is distinguished by rage, and whoever tramples pleasure and wickedness tramples the asp, the basilisk and the dragon, because carnal pleasure and every worldly evil are rightly compared to the creeping things that creep on the earth. By asp and basilisk, extreme deceit is meant, because the asp emits mortal poison, and the basilisk causes harm with its gaze. Due to its ferocity, the asp resists all spells. The basilisk (spectacled snake) has fiery eyes and contains poison in the eye - as is said about envious people. The dragon (boa constrictor) is the largest serpent that swallows people, bulls and oxen, and, due to its terrible power, portrays itself as the devil (see Apoc. 12, 3, 4). David mentioned these most evil and powerful animals, wanting to show that a person protected by God cannot be harmed by any enemies, visible or invisible. Thousands of those who loved the desert life, by trusting in God, avoided these hostile attacks, living together with the beasts. And the demon is also an asp, a basilisk, a lion and a serpent, because all the harmful actions produced by these animals are within him (Chrysostom, Theodoret, Gregory of Nyssa, Basil the Great, Athanasius, Cyril, Diodorus).

14. For in Me is my trust, and I will deliver; covering ‘and because I knew ‘My name’.

God is already saying this, showing the fruit of hope - hope in God. Do not flatter yourself, hope in God is preceded by work for God and sweat shed in doing good. Only “the righteous trust like a lion” (Proverbs 28:1). And just as his constant care is dedicated to God, so God rewards him. He who is relaxed and lazy in his work cannot have such hope. Who knows His name? The one who with meekness submitted to Him the will of his mind and who is duly submissive to Him, and not the one who knows Him only by ear (Isaac, Theodoret, Chrysostom, Eusebius).

15. He will call to Me, and I will hear him, with him there are seven in the sky, I will honor him and I will glorify him.

16. With long days I will fulfill him and show him My salvation.

This is what the Lord says to the righteous. Truly, what could be greater than that bliss when we have God as our protector in battle against enemies? For it is then that He most needs to be with us, when sorrows and disasters surround us. He who calls on Him with a strong spiritual voice finds God listening and ready to help. O words full of love! O words that breathe the most living hope into the one who prays!.. In the most sorrowful, joyless moments, the Lord is with us. But we think that no, that the Lord has left us. A mother cannot completely attract our hearts into her love, but the Lord attracts us with holy mysteries and prayer (Athanasius, Isaac, John of Kronstadt).

To feel grace in the house, it is not necessary to call a priest. You can perform the ritual of cleansing from negative energy yourself. Let's talk about exactly how to do this.

Dirty home: what is it like?

How can you tell if there is a bunch of bad energy in your home? The most common signs of this are:

  • household appliances constantly break down within its walls;
  • the family is mired in debts and loans;

    tears and despair have become faithful companions of household members;

    the apartment is uncomfortable;

    plants die, animals get sick;

    keys are lost, locks on the front door are broken;

    taps are leaking;

    the house is attacked by pests;

    at night you can hear extraneous sounds: steps, knocks, rustles;

    things get lost and disappear.

It also happens that the owners of a “bad” house are left with an unpleasant aftertaste after the arrival of guests and vice versa.

In such a situation, a cleansing ritual will help.

The power of holy water

Church holy water will help drive away evil spirits and filth from the house. It can be purchased at the temple for a small donation on any day. If you visit it on an Orthodox holiday, the priest will bless the water with a censer for free.

It is advisable to periodically replenish church water supplies. Staying in the house for years, she absorbs the negativity of worldly existence and gradually loses her amazing capabilities.

Physical cleaning

Before starting the sacrament that cleanses from negativity, you should also do a general cleaning in your home: look into all the hidden corners, wipe off even the thinnest layer of dust, brush away every barely noticeable cobweb. Bedding and clothing must be washed, mirrors and window glass must be cleaned. Let all household members take a shower, washing away the bad energy from their bodies.

Consecration process

When the house is absolutely clean, you can move on to the main part.

Carrying a bowl of fresh church water in their left hand, they spray the space in front of them with their right hand, moving clockwise around the house, starting from the front door. During the process, you need to read “Our Father” out loud or silently. For those who do not know the prayer well by heart, you can repeat “In the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Amen".
